In conjuction with the introduction of the 950 Adventure to the U.S., KTM conducted a month long series of custom tailored press launches. Individual and small group rides were conducted to introduce and demonstrate the remarkable performance and design features of the all new 950. In the process KTM has won a coveted 10 Best award from Cycle World. The other publications that tested the 950 were equally impressed as well. Dirt Bike Magazine - Desert Races of the Past Adventure Ride - Desert Off-road Legends Paul Krause, Jack Johnson and Scot Harden join Dirt Bike editor Ron Lawson on a journey to visit the sites of the biggest desert races of the day. Races like Barstow to Vegas, the Mint 400, The World Championship Hare & Hound, the Parker 400 and the Check Chase are all revisited via a three day trek on 950 Advetnures. Altogether the intrepid group log close to 1000 miles to visit the sites of some of the biggest desert races ever held and to test the remarkable 950 Adventures.

City Bike/Roadrunner/Moto Euro/Rider/Free 2 Wheel/Rev and Motorcycle On Line- Pioneertown Adventure Ride- editors from around the country attend a two day adventure ride to experience the all new 950 Adventure. 495 miles of adventure take the group through the Anza Borrego Desert, the Salton sea, Joshua Tree National Monument to an overnight destination at Pioneertown.

Trailrider Magazine Adventure Ride to Las Vegas -Trailrider editor and former Nevada Rally competitor Paul Clipper joins Scot Harden and Joe Barkerride to Vegas to attend the final SX of the year. Along the way they cross some of the most desolate terrain on earth aboard their trusty 950 Adventures. Other tests are still in the works wand will be out during the summer and fall of 2004.
